# Looking for a podcast editor Hello! I'm looking for a podcast editor for my two podcasts, Personal Knowledge Management With Aidan Helfant and Kaizen with Skye and Aidan Helfant. Personal Knowledge Management With Aidan Helfant is a podcast where I interview fellow PKMers and dive into the unique ways they use their PKM systems for work, creativity, and life. Personal Knowledge Management is the art of creating a system for collecting information, connecting it to old information, and creating things out of it. **Editing this podcast would help spread ideas between the siloed PKM community and inspire people to cultivate their own PKM systems.** The other podcast is with my brother Skye, Kaizen With Skye and Aidan Helfant. In the podcast, two twin brothers, one NFT survivor, turned content creator, and one addicted video gamer turned content creator talk about ideas, relationships, and the human condition. **By editing this podcast you would be helping spread insights about ideas, relationships, and the human condition to better people's lives.** ### Responsibilities You would be responsible for editing and uploading a Kaizen podcast once a week on Thursday at 7:00 a.m. EST and editing and uploading a podcast for PKM with Aidan Helfant bi-weekly on Wednesday. Personal Knowledge Management With Aidan Helfant would involve more editing because I expect you to listen through the whole thing. However, the Kaizen podcast for now would only involve downloading the audio files, leveling them out, adding the intro music, and than uploading to the podcast software. Communication between I and you would be simply to confirm which podcast you should be editing each week and for any questions. However, the goal is to become largely autonomous once you understand the job. For reference, it usually takes me around an hour and a half to edit and upload both Personal Knowledge Management With Aidan Helfant, and Kaizen but I listen at 2 times speed. Give an hourly rate you think is fair. ### Trial Task Fully edit a podcast episode between I and Dario Da Silva. The podcast editing would involve: - [ ] Downloading the recorded podcast audio files from a shared google drive folder - [ ] Leveling out the audio between I and the guest - [ ] Listening through and cutting out any long silences, or clear mistakes in the recording - [ ] Finding and placing a 20 second to 1 minute clip in the podcast that could be played at the beginning as a teaser to the rest of the podcast - [ ] Adding in the podcast intro and outro More instructions will be given through a video showcase if you apply. ### Requirements - Decent podcast editing experience - Please submit a cover letter with a portfolio of past relevant projects and say why you want the job ### Benefits - Help spread ideas between the siloed PKM community and inspire people to cultivate their own PKM systems - Help spread and learn insights about ideas, relationships, and the human condition to better people's lives I'm so excited to have you on the team and look forward to hearing from you!
